Concerts and fundraiser

The Chamber of Commerce of the Moriches is proud to host their Summer Concert Series. Listening to the sounds of Hot Water Street and Chain Reaction Band provided an uplifting experience for attendees of all ages.

“A great time was had by all. Children playing, people dancing, while others were savoring the relaxed summer atmosphere, chatting and laughing with family and friends,” said president Jackie Osborne. “As the sun set, the scene epitomized the essence of summer—a time for relaxation, togetherness, and creating cherished memories with loved ones and friends. The concerts underscored the simple joys that make summer truly special.”

To add to the night was Bad S Smoothie, offering delicious food and smoothies!

The chamber would like to thank Jim Mazzarella and the Suffolk County legislature for their generous donation, as well as the Center Moriches Library, which makes this possible. Please join us for our summer concerts in August and remember to bring a lawn chair and dancing shoes!

You can purchase your raffle tickets at a few places: visit local shops and businesses such as Moriches Bay Deli, Moriches Bay Realty, Jimmy Osborne Music, AJ Sunflower; come to our Summer Concert Series and visit our chamber table; go to our website and buy online; visit our chamber table at all our summer concerts.

The winning raffle ticket will be drawn at the last summer concert on Aug. 31 at Center Moriches Elementary.

Also, as you drive down Main Street, please notice our beautiful flowers, which Kurt Weiss arranges for us, as well as our Hometown Hero project banners and flags. Most people are unaware that it costs in excess of $5,000 a year to put up the beautiful summertime and holiday flower baskets along Main Street.

There are no government grants for this and the Downtown Beautification Organization must raise this money each year in order to replace these baskets. And while we have volunteers who water and maintain the baskets, we are always looking for additional help. Please consider making a donation today by going to the chamber website moricheschamber.org.
