Can you believe the holidays are here already?

Helping Makes U Happy is deep into helping mode!  We have local families to feed and adopt, and we are planning our annual free holiday shopping boutique at Oasis Rehabilitation and Nursing!

This is such a feel-good event, and we are especially thankful for our friends at Island Dollar in Shirley, who sponsored brand-new slipper socks for every resident! It will be held on Dec. 22, from 2:30 p.m. until approximately 5 p.m.  

We are looking for some volunteers—adults and students—community service hours will be given. We are also looking for any donations of new items or new re-gift items that the residents can choose from for their families and friends.

Speaking of help—we are especially grateful to GS Service Unit 48, who are making up breakfast bags for all the families we help at Christmas, and to Lions Heart Girls 2026, Tuttle Avenue Elementary School, Clayton Huey Elementary School, Gavyn Fives, and Serenity Nail Salon of Eastport, who have collected food for us. We really are blessed with the most amazing communities!

There are lots of parades coming up for families to enjoy: Mastic-Shirley is Dec. 7 at noon; Manorville is Dec. 7 at 6 p.m.; and the Center Moriches Holiday Parade of Lights is Dec. 13 at 6 p.m.
