Stuff a bus!

The Moriches Rotary Club recently hosted their Stuff A Bus event at the King Kullen in Center Moriches last month.

According to Deborah Brown Volkman, they collected a total of 40 bags of groceries filled to the top. The bags were then donated to two churches, including Center Moriches United Methodist Church and Eastport Bible Church.

“Thank you to all who came out to support our local food drive,” she said.

Items donated included nonperishables such as canned goods, pasta, oats, cereal, granola bars, peanut butter, jelly, cakes, as well as soap, toothbrushes, hygiene items, diapers and more.

During the event, Moriches Rotarians, Center Moriches High School students, and East Moriches Elementary Interact students were on hand collecting food for a great cause.

“We like working with the community to help others,” said Rikki Felicio, East Moriches Middle School student and Interact Club member. “Even kids can help make a difference.”
