Students complete REACH projects

Eighth graders at the Our Lady of the Queen-Apostles School in Center Moriches recently completed their REACH projects, a requirement for graduation.

“This experience provides students with opportunities to make use of many skills, from public speaking, defending their presentations, answering questions and more,” said Dawn Waller.

The projects are a two-year endeavor that requires students to both review existing literature and conduct their own research as well. Part of the REACH process requires each student to present their study in various forms.

The REACH symposium was held on May 7 in the auditorium. During the event, students presented their findings in three- to four-minute presentations and then answered questions from the audience.
