A family member of two girls reported to police that a man was naked and committing a lewd act while watching the girls, who are minors, from the window of his home, located at 2975 Sunrise Highway, on Aug. 30.
Following an investigation by Third Squad detectives, Joseph Zink was arrested on Monday, Sept. 2 at approximately 3:50 p.m.
Zink, 59, was charged with public lewdness and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and was arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Sept. 3.
During his arraignment, Zink pled not guilty and was issued a temporary order of protection. While bail was requested by the prosecutor, Zink was released with non-monetary charges. His next court appearance is scheduled for Sept. 30 at First District Court.
