At the present time, Helping Makes U Happy has 80 Easter baskets and breakfast bags to put together for kids in need. Wouldn’t you like to help us by donating to fill all the empty bags and put smiles on so many faces?
Many of the children do not really look forward to Easter break because they have to do without the free breakfasts offered by the schools, nor have they ever had Easter baskets. We’ll be accepting candy donations, fruit snacks, mini muffins, and small Easter basket-appropriate toys, as well as financial donations towards the purchase of same, through March 16.
No cereal please: we have plenty, thanks to a very large donation from Clayton Huey Elementary School, 11934. Donations can be dropped off or sent to HMUH, 44 Hawkins Avenue, Center Moriches, NY.
We are looking forward to celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at the ever-popular Moriches Chamber of Commerce’s parade on Sunday, March 15 at 2 p.m. This year’s grand marshal is Ginny Tyson. Congratulations Ginny!
