Opening July 5 and continuing through Aug. 2, “Local Color” at Gallery 90 explores what is familiar through realistic use of color taken from our natural environment.
Artists Nancy Bueti-Randall, Ray Germann, Larry Johnston, Mary jane van Zeijts and Marlene Weinstein present work that explores diverse and familiar subject matter—the figure, landscapes, roadside attractions, seascapes—using a variety of media.
An opening reception will be held on July 5, from 2 to 4 p.m., and visitors will have an opportunity to hear more about each artist’s inspiration, process and vision at an Artists’ Talk, July 19 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Gallery 90 is open weekends from noon until 5 p.m. More information (631) 878-1855.
