On Friday, Sept. 13 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 14 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Bayport-Blue Point Library, the Sayville Garden Club is presenting a small standard flower show, “Symphony of Color in the Garden.”
Traditionally, the club has crafted and staged a flower show every four to five years, but the COVID-19 years changed that. This will be their first show in nine years and the Garden Club said, “We aim to make it an enjoyable and informative experience for all who attend.”
With over 70 members in their Garden Club presenting, the large horticulture exhibit will have a myriad of flowers, shrubs and vegetables from Garden Club members’ fall gardens.
In addition, there will be many varied examples of floral designs created by members and an exhibit of garden photography by members and their families. This exhibit is special in that anyone attending the flower show can vote for their favorite photograph.
