Eagle Scout candidate honored from Troop 29

On May 23, Aidan McKeon, an Eagle Scout candidate from Troop 29 in East Moriches, held a Healing Fair at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Center Moriches. Aidan’s motivation for holding the fair was the COVID-19 pandemic, and the theme focused on mental health and overall wellness. He felt it was important for members of the Brookhaven Town community to know what resources are available to them if they need assistance. Approximately 20 organizations participated, including the Brookhaven Youth Bureau. Brookhaven Town supervisor Ed Romaine stopped by the fair and presented Aidan with a proclamation for his efforts.
