The Patchogue Young Professionals are bringing back the Patchogue Polar Plunge in 2022. Their second annual plunge will happen on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 13. The event will also feature a breakfast at Toast Coffeehouse in Patchogue, with check-in between 8-9 a.m. Then, those brave enough will head to the Sandspit Marina for the plunge. The plunge will be at 10 a.m. All proceeds go to Gabby Petito Foundation.
The Gabby Petito Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) organization founded by Gabby Petito’s parents. Gabby went missing while on a cross-country road trip. After an intensive search, it was discovered that Gabby’s life was tragically cut short.
The mission of the foundation is to address the needs of organizations that support locating missing persons and to provide aid to organizations that assist victims of domestic violence situations through education, awareness, and prevention strategies.
