The Brookhaven Town Board, on April 4, approved Robo Car Wash’s application for a facade change and site improvements, including replacing existing signage and adding a new retaining wall and an ADA-compliant parking area.
The car wash on Montauk Highway in East Patchogue has been closed since August 2021 when it was damaged when a car crashed into it.
The board deemed the changes a Type II action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act, meaning they don’t significantly affect the environment and that further environmental review is not required.
