February has arrived!

We are beating the winter doldrums with lots of good helping stuff!

By the time you read this, we will have delivered our Super Bowl Party Raffle prizes to our two big winners and will have raised several thousand dollars for scholarships at local high schools. Thank you everyone for your support.  

During the month of February, we will be donating nonperishable foods to local pantries to help sustain them. We will also be doing a monthlong drive for Pawsitiverescue.org, a pet rescue located in Middle Island.

They are always in need of blankets, towels, sheets, washcloths, dog food, and hard toys. Anything you can do to help will be appreciated and donations can be dropped off in our deck box at the front of our house, 44 Hawkins Avenue, Center Moriches.  

We are also happy to be partnering with Brothers Four Pizza and the Ice Cream Cottage to do The Valentine’s Day fundraiser of a heart-shaped pizza, heart-shaped ice cream cake, and a stuffed bear (bears limited to first 100 orders), which raises money for kids battling cancer. We are grateful to Kay Jewelers for their help in securing bears for this cause.

Last but certainly not least, the very popular Chef Keith & Kids/Cooking with a Cop will once again be coming to Helping Makes U Happy on Feb. 20 and 22 from 4 to 5 p.m.  

Spots are limited and fill up fast!
