Chain Reaction performs at Clayton Huey

Last month, the third concert in the Center Moriches Summer Concert Series took place on the front lawn of Clayton Huey Elementary School.

The featured act of this concert was local band Chain Reaction, which has the Center Moriches Chamber of Commerce president Jackie Osborne as the lead singer. Her husband, Jimmy, also plays the piano in the band, and together they have been performing for around 25 years. They run a local music shop, Jimmy Osborne’s Music, which sells instruments and provides music lessons.

When asked about why the band performs locally, Jackie said, “We just love. The band mostly covers music from the 1970s to the present day, and the crowd in attendance was very excited about the performance.”

People of all ages were dancing to the music at several points throughout the night. Concert attendees also enjoyed concessions provided by the CMPTO and Center Moriches Music Booster Club members, since they were still fundraising for their Music in the Parks trip to Disney. Members of the Center Moriches Chamber of Commerce were also present at the concert and provided a $20 e-bike raffle and had sponsorship support from Suffolk County Legis. Jim Mazzarella. Karen Dunne, a Brookhaven Town Council candidate, was also present at the concert and purchased a sign showing support towards both the concert and the Center Moriches Chamber of Commerce.

Currently, there is going to be one final concert at Clayton Huey Elementary School for the Summer Concert Series on Aug. 26, with the featured performance being the band High Tide.
